Denkwerkstatt für Manager offers it's clients individually developed seminar-concepts that can be realized inhouse. Besides conventional topics as Leadership und Teamwork, we offer seminars about the following topics. 

Lateral Management – Managing projects on eye-level 
Today, organizations are searching for new ways of project-work. Agile Management, Scrum, FedEX24, Design Thinking etc. are sets of methods that at the moment are favoured by organizations as bypasses to line-management. At this seminar participants will learn beside these „new“ methods successful tools of typical project management. However, working on projects today is a process on eye-level between multiple stakeholders. Therefore, the focus will be the leadership of lateral projects. With the method of cooperative counselling we will also work on current projects and immediately develop relevant aspects for the transfer into practice.

Lateral Management – Communication on eye-level 
To lead talks on eye-level is a new field for many managers and leaders. Typical management used to focus on disciplinary and hierarchical – and therefore asymmetrical - aspects and ways of influencing others. Reality in organizations today is different. Most talks with people in organizations, with clients, and service-providers are on eye-lever, and therefore without formal power. Conducting lateral talks thererfore is much different and will be trained during this seminar.

Lateral Management – Leading teams on eye-level 
There exists a long tradition in history of teamwork to develop teams into „self-responsible teams“. This started with the epoch-making research work by Kurt Lewin, followed by Douglas McGregor and the teams at Procter & Gamble, as well as Kaizen groups during the 1990th. Today, self-responsible teamwork is the first choice when using innovative methods as TRIZ, Design Thinking or Scrum. But what is the precise role of lateral management at the promotion of selfresponsible teams? How can teams be lead without reducing their self-responsibility? During this seminar you learn how to solve challenging situations during team work as a lateral manager.

Lateral Management – Negotiating confident and successful on eye-level 
How do I succeed in realizing my interests at negotiations where I have to be effective with partners without having formal power? Who aims to achieve his or her goals in constellations like that has to demonstrate flexibility without giving up personal interests. New ways of cooperation have to be dicovered and integrated. 

At the moment, the GRASP method of negotiation is the up-to-date lateral way, not only to achieve excellent results but also secure a long-term success in a complex framework of negotiation. The participants learn to win over others, to argue more relaxed and confident and to deal with challenging situations and partners

Conducting qualitative & quantitative surveys more easily, faster, and more efficient 
This event offers you an overview about different, established survey-formats and the according advantages and disadvantages. After an overview about qualitative, explorative methods we will focus on standardized quantitative variations in more depth. We will demonstrate that qualitative and quantitative methods do not exclude each other and how enriching a combination of both approaches by using a mixed methods approach can be to gain better data. 

Strategies are introduced to structure a subject, to identify latent constructs that may lay behind, and to operationalize. These methods will be trained and transferred onto examples out of practice. In addition the issue of building samples and increasing return rates will be discussed and presented. Beside different ways of analysis and automated reports we will present how scientific questions can be hypothesis-guided and exploratory carved out.  

We will explain the logic of adaptive testing and describe how conventionel surveys can be significantly shortened by using this method, so that the gaining of data is much more effectively and the motivation of the members of the sample can be maintained
